Applied Microarrays and BioDot announce a strategic co-marketing and technology sharing partnership to deliver cost-effective manufacturing solutions for next generation biosensors.

Tempe, AZ and Irvine, CA. November 9th 2017: Applied Microarrays (“AMI”), the recognized leader in manufacturing services for next generation biosensors, and BioDot Inc., the market leader in precision dispensing equipment across the full range of research and diagnostic formats, today announce a strategic partnership to leverage joint capabilities to provide customer solutions.

“The biosensor market has evolved to require precision dispensing across volume ranges beyond our typical core competence in picoliter piezo printing. In addition, materials with challenging properties to dispense with piezo nozzles have been shown to provide advantages in particular biosensors. To maintain our position as the leader in manufacturing these devices it has become clear to us that BioDot is the partner of choice. Their equipment solutions can solve the technical challenges in the most cost-effective manner available on the market” AMI CEO Alastair Malcolm stated.

“Our dispensing solutions have propelled BioDot to the leadership position in manufacturing equipment across markets ranging from complex biosensors, microtiter plates and lateral flow devices. Under our new agreement, AMI is also sharing equipment technologies they have developed that have not previously been available in the general market, particularly in the low picoliter range. Together we will ensure BioDot offers unmatched customer-driven solutions in the precision dispensing market,” BioDot CEO Tom Tisone added.
