BioDot and Quantiscientifics Enter a Co-Marketing and Sales Agreement
BioDot and Quantiscientifics Enter a Co-marketing and Sales Agreement, Providing the A2® MicroArray System, for Multiplexing of Proteins in a Proprietary 96-well Plate Format
Quantiscientifics LLC, an Irvine, California company has selected BioDot Inc to co-market and sell their A2® MicroArray System. The A2® (pronounced “A-Squared”) product, originally developed out of Beckman Coulter allows for multiplexing in a proprietary 96-well plate format. To reduce complexity, the technology utilizes DNA attached to the plate surface to link proteins such as antibodies or peptides by self-assembly of DNA-protein conjugates. This process allows for a rapid and much more robust process when producing a protein microarray. Key applications for the A2® include multiplex ELISAs for cytokine detection, allergy testing, autoimmune disease, vaccines and biomarker validation.
Dr. Robert Matson, President of Quantiscientifcs and also one of the lead inventors on the technology at Beckman Coulter states, "Since we use the BioJet™ technology to produce the plates originally, it makes sense that we partner with BioDot."
